Women and girls especially bear the burden of walking miles at a time to gather water from streams and ponds – full of water-borne disease that is making them and their families sick.
Others use donkeys to walk for hours for miles and miles to fetch water from dangerous boreholes dug on dry riverbeds. We at Kenyavillages.org are striving to help build wells that will provide clean water and safe them daily hours of walking.
